sweet street excellent use of imagination that there, in the middle, guess who? yes, i did do this.  not mine.  over to the 'glamping' section. tents etc pre-set up before you arrived jus' strollin' round the camp not for snags Last Sunday morning I got the train from Kings Cross to this little place 3 hours away called Skegness, then  got a ride on to Mablethorpe, for four days. It was a church camp called Focus. I went. It was awesome. Now, I didn't actually go to any of the praying/worshipping/jesus/god seminars or talks or groups, as I was looking after the children, but during the 3 hours they were in their school group and I had free time and pretty much just wandered around reading and sitting in the sun and drinking coffees and taking photos. There was a couple of things that would have been quite interesting, but ah, it was a really interesting experience just to get to go to as an outsider. I...

Berlin part 2, finally

an exciting bit of the wall another exciting bit click me me and Sam at the Brandenburg Gate the sky gearing up for a torrential afternoon Reichstag building holocaust monument Last morning in Berlin. All you can eat buffet brekkie again. The way to go. eat as much as you can and then you won't have to stop and buy food tilll dinner time. We got on the bikes again, and headed down to the wall again following Guys lead on a bit more tourist action. Rounding up 6 people on bikes to follow has its drawbacks, well along the wall it did anyway. But we all managed to meet up at the end of it to carry on so that was good. Guy took us to Museum Island, where we stopped for a rest and a look around. We didn't actually go into any of the museums, save that for another time. The buildings around there tho...the way they are all together and big grey square things with great columns out the front and the sky was all grey a...

the best welcoming dip fest ever     beach bar!  group photo! bit blurry but ah well! Berlin. Yet another amazing city I want to go back to a million times. This travelling bizo, it makes me just want more more more. And more of the same cities, when there are so many other great ones out there to go see. Oh woe is me and my fantastic life. So, I was flying out of Luton airport this time, the furthest away and most annoying to get to airport in London. Well technically out of London. I had to work the morning, and it worked out that I had a sleepover at work, and then school was starting late so I had to go directly from school drop off to the bus station. Way to make a gal sweat and stress!!! (even though I did get there with an hour and a half spare) but hey! I am NOT missing any more flights. I flew with EasyJet, a bit of a welcome change from RyanAir, which I think I might do a bit more. Yes, RyanAir stewa...

Sam after testing the waters. Mash just loving life, me reliving my surfing pose. taken by Sam ministry of funny walks anyone? taken by Sam by the way. Sam making some buds in the water. SAD! We're driving to Faro the day before we fly back to London, and manage to stop at the most amazing beach. In  Portimão, 'Praia da Rocha' or Rock Beach, so picturesque. Mental. I manage to lose my bikini bottoms while walking along the beach, and no I wasn't wearing them at the time. The water is so nice, I didn't wanna get out. Alas. Time to walk from one end to the other. Novelty wore off for me after a mile. But we get to the end, there's a big cave with a hole in the top above, and Sam is making friends in the water, and a big old wave come in, heading straight for Mashs bag, with my camera sitting on top, and everyones important stuff sitting inside...me and Mash dash for it, but Mash gets there first juuuust as the wave gets it, and mos...
