Vinpearl Land

Image
This is the monstrosity, while everyone is upside down ^  So after the bus ride we go straight into the place by the bus stop- also $10 a night for both of us- and sleeeeeep some more. Then we stop off at a German Sausage shop for lunch, random yes, but yum as, then down to the beach for the afternoon. It's nice on this beach, there's a constant breeze blowing, which makes the heat more bearable, even tho we were in the shade half the time. Went for a walk down the beach markets at night, then to yet another Indian place for tea. The next day we go to Vinpearl Island, to the themepark called Vinpearl Land. Before we go get our scooter, we skype with Mash to give Scotty his birthday pres, which was some shoes we had made for him in Hoi An. Hopefully your not put off by the custom bit Scott! I thought it was funny. Anyway, was good to see old Danny Glover, even though he apparently smelt bad. So, scootering, off to the gondola over to Vin...

Bus to Nha Trang

This bus is about 5x better than the bus me and mash had to catch from Hanoi to Hoi An. For one, it has curtains. For two, it has pillows. And three, theres a little mattress over the dentist chair this time. Sounnnds better, but this driver likes to stop suddenly and the chair being that fake vinyl stuff and the mattress being cotton, I slipped everywhere. The night bus is a good way to get around, except if your a light sleeper. It gets quite stuffy in there, even with the air-con on. We stop at 11.30pm, just as everyone was going to sleep, at some food place. Then we are back on the road and I'm pretty sure I get to sleep easily, tho after reading a few chapters of my book. I'm woken up at I dunno what time by the bus screeching to a halt, and me sliding into the back of the chair infront of me. Beeeeeeeeeeeep, someone just wasn't moving fast enough. I don't think I'll ever use a car horn again after this trip, and if you've driven with me at the wheel you...

Lazy-bo-bazy

So we had another lazy beach day, we had a scooter and went to sit on the loungers for the afternoon. Again, awesome. We got a seafood platter thing, which I mostly ate but then there was this weird yellow rubbery thing that just wasn't for me. One of the ladies who walks around mostly being annoying and asking you every 15 minutes if you wanted to buy something comes and sits down for a while, and we buy salted peanuts off her. I guess she thinks that means we could be up for spending more, as she spends the next half hour or so giving me a foot rub and telling us about Cham island. Sweet deal. We head back to Hoa My a different way this time, so we can go past the organic herb farm place thats just near the beach. We pull over to take some photos and this old dude comes up the track and ushers us down to where hes working, and then gets Sam to have a go at the...trench making? Some sort of irrigation ditch thing anyway, and Sams loving it, he's calf deep in mudd...

Right so Mashs last night so him and Sam went on a boys drinking mish while I stayed in. They played pool with the bar owner and bet on who would win, lost and had to buy the guy drinks. Well done guys. The next day we had to run around getting Mashs many shoes/shirts/jeans picked up, and on the way into town on our scooters I got separated from them and was lone wolfing for a while. I waited in the market square and about 15 mins later they stroll on by. Turns out in Hoi An they close the streets off to tourists on scooters between 9-11am and they couldn't get into town. I mustve slipped through un-noticed, cos I parket right in the centre of the market. Woops. After Mash leaves me and Sam get lazy and have a swim, then laze by the pool for ages. It was goodtimes. Then we went to Ganesh for a curry, yuuuuuuuuum, so full and tasty... WelljusthaveatigerbeerpleaseandwherestheWC? Great fun. The next morning we have to check out of t...

She was trying to make me pinky swear to go buy beer from her tomorrow These ladies requested a photo be taken Our 'buckets' Deathly Hallows represent, not long now yussssssss Scooting on the footpath, casual. Wuw. Off the bus and instantly theres 3 people trying to make us stay at their hotels. We try explain we're just going to have a wee sit and talk about it but they don't leave us alone so we cross the street - which is easy as pie here - and have about 74seconds before they follow. Ugh. Sam had more unfortunate events after he finally got into the air, his bag didn't make it to Ho Chi Minh so he had to stick around for an extra day there and wait for it, so we don't wanna make any decisions until we know if he is on his way or not. He's not. So we go the the annoying peoples hotel and its only $5 a night so I guess I should stop complaining. Exploring time. WHOA. I feel like my eyes should be heart shaped when we first go walki...
