Luang Prabang and its waterfalls

Luang Prabang a go-go. Last nights sleep was hilarious, we all sleep in the same room to save some $$, and me and Claire share a bed. Now I've heard she talks in her sleep, but had my first encounter here. Not sure what time it was, but I wake up, and she's sitting upright in bed saying, 'Blue! Na my friends, my friends have gone to get their bags'...I say, 'What? Who are you talking to?'...'My friends have...getting their bags?...Oh...Oh it's you!' (as in me) Then I laughed and went back to sleep. Was funny as heck.

Aaaaanyway, we get a tuk-tuk to take us to these 2 waterfalls around Luang Prabang. At the first, Tad Sae waterfalls, where we had to take a little boat ride up the river to get to the entrance, then bought tickets to get in and RIDE ELEPHANTS BAREBACK. Jane of the jungle over here. Swimming here was just great, it was nice and cool and we did some jumps n sheeet off the waterfall. Very exciting stuff. Then we went down to the elephants and had a go on them. Me and Claire share one again, and Mash had his own naughty wee beast. I say naughty cos when we were riding them through the water, his decided it wanted to go for a swim, and fully submerged itself and wouldn't come back out when it was told. It kept rolling around and going under and just really not getting out at all. It wound his trunk around Mashs arm and he thought it was going to eat it. It was even funnier, as it had stopped to do a poo in their and now Mash was swimming with it. MMMM.

Then we are off to the other waterfall, which is about 45mins away from the first. It's called Kuang Si, and there's a random bear sanctuary there too. There were signs all over the place saying cover your body, no bare chests and no bikinis. Darn I was just about to take everything off. These waterfalls were friggin awesome, the water was this milky kinda colour, and it was all terraced and a rope swing and fun. Mash has a new T.V. show, you'll see more about that soon. So we are in the water at these waterfalls, and Claire starts thinking somethings biting her feet, and this random ladys like ah yeah thats the fish, they are nibbling at you...then I get in, and they really do go for you, it's like they come at you real quick and dart away again. Weird. There's a rope swing and model-esk ladies posing at the top of the waterfall...GTFO. Oh, just kidding hotties.

Then we go to our shmancy place we decided to stay at for the night, then go have awesome Indian curry, then down the market and back to the shmance again to chill the hell out. Shutter Island was on haha. In the morning we decide to have a lax day and do not much else. And it was good. We went to the market again, and bought a few things, and I have a want for a bag thats too expensive to buy here. It's very annoying. Ah well, there's always tomorrow.
