Hay-on-Wye, wedding time
Standing in the rain, boo
I do like me some bunting
bit of rolling Welsh countryside
Reassuring old bridge here
Hey! After a slow week, getting peeps back into school and kindy, me and Sam met up with Todd at The Castle – that kiwi owned pub around from my house – for a catch up and some dins, as Todd had just gotten back from his fancy Euro roady. I had this yum chorizo and asparagus salad in a tortilla, yum yum, tho I'm sure there was no asparagus, unless asparagus here is thin with no head and tastes like green beans. Delicious anyway.
This weekend I was working, and yet again away from London, back in Herefordshire. At one of the insane houses I posted about one other time, theres a panoramic shot of it back somewhere, its big and brick and just amazing of course. Anyway, I’m working this weekend as a swap for the 2 days I had off when we went to Sweden – WHICH I forgot to say, have unisex public toilets. Kind of weird, kinda odd – as this weekend is Kates (my boss) little sisters wedding. COOL!
We had a bit of a rushed morning, and I had to get the little peeps dressed into the page and bridesmaid outfits and they were sooooo cute! It was pretty awesome, in a wee church, tho it did start pissing down just as everyone was leaving and the bride and groom were coming out, but never fear there were about 50 umbrellas pulled out so everyone mainly stayed dry. It was kinda a fancy wedding, one where people buy whole outfits and hats that match with feathers on top, so I wore a dress I’d borrowed off Sophie as I don't seem to have anything nice nice anymore. Better get shopping methinks! The dress was a hit tho, had a few people comment, which was probably half due to the actual dress and half due to them only ever seeing me in crap work clothes haha. Jeans + t-shirt + sandals = weekly uniform. And I like it. But thanks Sophie! Saver. I managed to snap a few moments, but trying to keep a 3 year old in a white dress clean in the rain in a field meant I didn’t really have much of a chance...Soon tho! October 1 see you in Australia. Then Emma on the 15th!
Good times.
