Mr & Mrs De Jonge ... MAGNUS!

Wow. How the heck time flies. I'm curently on the last 3 hours of my flight home, over Moscow somewhere according to my little journey tracker. Tula to be more precise. I forget where I left off last time, but it's been such an awesome and intense week that I wouldnt know where to begin anyway. It's been so so fun being with Emma again, and oddly at times almost like being 16 again haha, you know what I'm talking about ladybird, if you read this. I'll leave out a page or 70 of random things and start off with the day before the wedding. Up n at'em bright n early, to pack up all emmas collected jars, vases, lollies, the flowers, the cake, everything, and take it out to Brickenden to set up the barn for the reception. It takes a stressfull while but when we finish it looks so, so beautiful and vintagey-rustic, just how she wanted it. It was so good, and I didn't have my camera as I was being a super handy helper, so I really don't even ahve any photos of the inside finished product...I'm sure once the photographer gets back to Em I can link a few so you can see how amazing it was.

After the setups all done, Emma gets to say goodbye to the groom, her wonderful Kevin, as she won't see him till walking down the aisle the next day. Ooh lala goodbye Emma Hodge! We completely destroy some sushi while driving, cos we'd been so busy that we forgot to take food with us, and head home to do random prep things like paint nails and give me some last last last minute walkiing lessons in 10.5cm stilettos. Abbeys been teaching me to not walk like I've a '3 year old gait' hahahaha. Then it's an early ngiht as BIG DAY TOMORROW!

I get a txt at 6.34am saying 'It's time', and it's waking me up 26 minutes before my alarm so I instantly fall back asleep, how rood. By 8am it's raining, and not just some pissy wee shower, it's letting loose and stressing nerves out, but it's ok, cos Sara and Hannah - 2 other bridesmaids - turn up with a yum as brekkie and we forget about it while devouring 16 croissants and other yum things. We get all our stuff together, as we are all staying at the accommodation out at the venue for the night, as well as our dresses and Emmas wedding dress, and are about to make the run to the car through the rain, when it doubles its effort and comes down harder. Should have done this earlier...ah well, charging it all out there we're sorted and on the way to the hairdressers. Fun! We all get seated and underway, and the finished hair do's are amazing, they're all different, to go with the different dresses and personalities I guess, and they all suit the wearer so much. I had this big messy kinda braid thing, it's hard to explain but it was awesome. Greer you'll know the style, I used to to it on you alot, except not all neat and tidy and without the plait at the end. Yeah, anyway. Then it's time to go off to the venue and get ready. I'm driving (as I've been the driver since I got here as I do love a bit of driving) and we've stopped at an intersection and Emma starts out with 'It's Kevin, theres Kevin!!' and theres a bit of kerfuffle till we spot him and he spots us and obviously they're not sposed to see each other on the day and what are the odds! He was sunglass shopping hahah, bit didn't see her anyway, he gentalmanly turned his head away and covered his eyes. I would have been gawking if I was him.

Out at Brickendon it's stopped raining and there some sun out YUSS! We have these cuuuuuuute as heck lil cottages to stay in, bridesmaids in one and Emma and Kev in another one down a track, I managed to get a few pics of the cuteness. I drop Em and Chloe (Chloe is sister and Maid of Honor) to get ready and head back to bridesmaid central to sort myself out. Last minute walking practice on super damp grass? Done. Makeup? Done. Dress on? Ring ring...I've to take the iron and all the bottles of Moet down to Emmas, makeup artist is a tad behind schedule and there's need for a wine. I hurredly get my shit together and down I go. Makeups done, looking, dress on, all the gals are there, Emmas looking like a movie star, us bridesmaids are looking friggin sweet too...huge storm opens up with half an hour to go. UUUUGH. It clears up juuust in time, and we are only 15 minutes late to get to the ceremony. Moment of high heel truth. Alinta goes...good, Sara goes...good, Hannah goes...good, shitballsitsnowmyturn...and it's easy as pie. I've the hugest cheeser on my face the whole time, I'm so happy for my friends and blah blah, I probably looked like a maniac it was that smiley, but I didn't fall or stumble, there was no 3 year old gait happening. Then comes Chloe, looking good, then a well timed small gap for dun da da daaaAAAAAAA! Emma and her dad. AAAAH-Mazing. Soooooo good lookin. Kev standing there watching and a swear he should have done a jumping fist pump whilst yelling yusssss. The suns out, there's no wind to freeze us to death in out dresses, Vikki the celebrant has everything under control, vows, rings, then the wee kiss which turned into a big smooch haha. Husband and Wifey! Holy cow! Ho-ly moly. Emma Hodge is no more! Shes Mrs De Jonge now. Eternally happy for you my love.

Bubbles with the cutest straws and then photo time, which are gunna look so good...then we're off to the barn! We have a hilarious drive over there, then it's intro time and we pair up with the groomsmen, who all looked great too by the way, and walk in with the same smile I'm sure I've mentioned on other occasions. Then it's time to get loose! Theres a wee bar set up, and the pretty table of lollies, and the caterer has her people doing the rounds with the best tasting stuff ever. When the dancing starts up it's time to get these heels off, which have rubbed a raw spot darn it, and do some serious boogying. Its great cos everyone just about had a dance, and there's Emma with the vintage lace dress getting her gangster shoulders out heh heh.

I'm not sure if I said about the cake - They decided to go for a cheese-teir cake instead of a cake with icing thing, which was SO GOOD. 1, it looked fantastic, and 2, there were 4 big wheels of cheese to eat afterwards! I'm still surprised my dress didn't burst at the seams as at the end of the night we decided to take a cheese platter on the journey back to our cottage, which was a Stilton gobbling fest like no other. MMMMMMM.

So all in all Emma and Kevin, CONGRATULATIONS BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!!
