Ooo long time no write. I'd like to say I've been busy but, it's more like incredibly lazy. Oh well. So, where was I....Iceland's capital Reykjavik. Yep. Exploration time. In the morning we found a little cafe that was just down the road from where we were staying, and in true traveller style, Claire and I ordered the 'Icelandic Country Breakfast' or some similar name. YUM! It was made up of tasty rolls and cheese and a few other things, but the main attraction was a bowl of this stuff call Skyr. When we ordered it I had no idea what it was, it could have been a roast goat for all I knew, but what it is, is Icelandic style yoghurt. Or according to >Wikipedia< it's technically cheese. Man it was yum. There was blueberries all over it, and it was abig bowl and it was really good. I thought I'd be needing some sort of hot cooked breakfast since it was all cold outside, but this was excellent. I also got told here, for the second time, that I make food look good hahaha. I guess it's just because I look like I'm enjoying it so much.

Then on to a tour place, for me and Claire to book horse-riding, and Sam, Rory and Mash to book snorkelling for the next day. Then we just sort of walked around the town a bit. We ended up at the Hallgrímskirkja Cathedral, which was just up the hill from where we were staying, handy yet again. It was a pretty awesome sight. Not your classic gothic style cathedral you get so used to living in London and travelling around Europe...Anyway, the pictures explain it better. Worth a thousand words or what....

After that we all met up again, and headed out to the Blue Lagoon. Which, obviously, was incredible. I mean, tourist central, but fair enough. I was driving on the way there, and as soon as we got a first tiny glimpse of the weird bluey/white waster on the side of the road, I couldn't help but slow right down to ogle it and go ooooooooooo-waaaaaooooooo and then Claire's like, um, cars behind carsbehind CARSBEHIND ALANA GO. It was funny. Park. Pay. In the water. Float up to the bar. Pretend none of the people around you are going for a wee. stand up and go eee cos it really is freezing when you're in hot pools and then suddenly aren't. float back to your posse. They have this free face mud thing you can do, which we did (see the weird white face photo up there - no porn jokes please hahaha) which make your skin all super smooth and nice feeling. I'm guessing they just scrape it off the bottom haha or something equally as gross, but boy did it feel nice after it came off.

A couple beers later and it was time to head back to town, and do I'm not even sure what. Veg, I guess.
