So the rest of the time we were in Ireland we pretty much just drove around sight seeing. It was the best. Driving through valleys and the bumpiest roads ever, and glassy glassy lakes and even up a mountain. And as always by mountain, I mean steep hill. We stopped in at the Connemara National Park and decided to do the walk up the 'Diamond Hill'. There are three different heights you can go to so obviously we decided to get up to the top. And boy oh boy I tell ya, if you ever go there take some moz spray, as I have never been so eaten in my life. Hunnnnnnnnndreds of them. Stuck everywhere. I was super hot from walking up the hill but I had to put my jacket on, it was just unbearable. Teeny wee things like a cloud you just couldn't not breathe them in haha gross but it felt like the plague.
After the climb, which took about 2.5 hours, we went in search of 'Costello' where my surname hails from. Well. We missed it. I was lookin forward to a sign or a something but then we realised its actually called 'Casla' and there was nothing really there at all. Ah well. I can still say I've been, and the Connemara area is just too beautiful, even though on the last day it was pouring down. We still just drove from awesome spot to awesome spot and took photos and had fried chicken haha and took the funniest back road to Knock airport. It looked like a farm road driveway and we were't 100% we would actually come out at the airport. but then we did, and I had to eat 4 bananas as I'd bought them the day before and neglected them. Waste not want not eh right mum. So over bananas. Random annoying fact about Knock airport, they charge you 10 euros to leave. I was like ya kiddin me? All my careful budgety planning to get this cheap flight and everything and then they whack that on without a warning email or anything. Yes its not that much but still. Rood. Anyway.
