London Tayown
Well here we are. We've been here a few days now, and things are awesome so far. We have only almost got lost once, seen alot of typical english things, taken very touristy snaps - as you will have noticed - and even seen some squirrels. We've been going between Todds house in Dollis Hill and Guy and Sophies in Elephant and Castle. Yes, Elephant and Castle is a place. I'm thankful they both have such comfy couches as I've been joeing the hell out every night, with the aid of alcohol or not. Tiring business this moving to the other side of the world. Everywhere we go there's some landmark that we are like hah at.
We met Todd after work the day after the night we got here, and the station we met him at was Westminster. So of course when we get out of the station, Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, and Westminster Abbey are a stones throw away. Big Ben is not as big as I'd imagined, Parliament house is much bigger than I'd thought, and Westminster Abbey is waaaaay busier. We were sitting on the balcony at Guy and Sophies and I retardedly asked when the London Eye (big ferris wheel as we'd been calling it) got going....turns out it is going, all the time, just reeeeally reeeally slowly. huh. +1 point for observational skills. So far it's all been a bit hectic. Somehow.
We got an unlimited tube pass, so we can go wherever whenever. Very handy. We've been sitting at busy parks drinking beers, cos you can here, and there are these chairs set out everywhere and there are men who walk around and charge you a pound to sit on them. It;s funny watching how many people are like WTF then get off. Lots of back-and-forwardsing between E&C and Dollis Hill.
Good times tho, very good times. Today Sams been CV overhauling for a job, and I even applied for one, a temp one that I realised starts in 4 days, so I'd say it's gone already, but still, time to get productive with our days! And, Sam has just said, after half an hour of sending his CV away, that they've emailed back and he has a job interview on Thursday! Awesome! Talk about efficient! Anywho, we are in the midst of planning a trip to Stockholm in Sweden for the end of August, aye Guy, aye, and maybe thinking about going to Bruges with Todd and his friend in their camper for a couple nights, but we will see. Going on the tunnel would be pretty cool. Job hunting first though, I've alot to pay for!
