| geeeeezerrrrr! Hi folks! |
OOOOOOOOOO snow. So much to Sam and Greers disappointment I have yet to actually ski. I might get a chance to practice on this little hill outside the condo, but as I've never even had ski boots on before, I don't know how much use it will be even trying. We'll see. It's rather hilarious tho, since where we are staying is right at the bottom of the chairlift up, everyone walking around here is fully kitted out, and everyones got this funny on-the-moon walk cos they all have their boots on. It's like they're all part of some funny dance.
And a funny dance it turns out I didn't join. I didn't ski. I did get to go ont he gondola up the mountain tho, how FUN! It was such a nice ride, quite cold, but so scenic to go over the snowy forest and all these log cabins and super snowy roads, and even people snow shoe-ing up the mountain. Crayzay. Now we are back in Broomfield, and boy is it windy! Sadly all the snow is melting away, today it was warm even. Yesterday I had some free time and decided to go for a walk. The lady who we are staying with asked where, and there is a big golf course out the back of their house, and I said I thought I might go out through the snowy golf course and to the supermarket to get some baking supplies...and she suggests that perhaps I should go around the streets and along the road, dues to the coyotes. What the hell? Coyotes? Yeah...apparently the neighbourhood burlymen went out with rifles a few weeks ago cos the coyotes attacked 2 toddlers. Yay get me walking round the barren hilly golf course alone please! I'm instantly thinking of the scene in the lion king when Simba gets cornered. And then she mentions something about bears. Cripes, the outskirts of Denver, didn't know it was quite that wild eh.
So I haven't really been doing much. Took the kiddies to the rec centre - haha, not for a lock-in tho - and went swimming and playing at a place like junglerama. Today we went to some mall and my boss Juliet bought me a surprise present from Victoria's Secret. Wickedness. Oh, and last night I ate the box of chocolates she bought me for V-day. Oh happy days. Also, found the pre-mixed boxes of Red Velvet cake! Eff yeah! Bringing some of that home. Damn you London supermarkets not having it. Or that creamy Pumpkin Pie filler in a can. Ummmm and that's about all I can think of. Can't wait till Sunday, when we get to go to New York. Catching up with Greer!!!!!!!1 YUSSSSS!
